I’m thinking about ignoring that the world is falling apart (my privilege speaking, I know), and turning this into a pottery account. This weekend, I learned how to carve mountains into my work! Here’s my work-in-progress mountain planter!

So, wait. For basically ever, men were earning way more than their female counterparts, and the messaging was that women were "too emotional" or whatever. And the second women start earning more than men, men completely lose their shit and it's a "crisis" "gripping" them? What a bunch of losers.

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

I spent the weekend at a ranch in WY with fellow faculty from the University of Wyoming’s Academic Writing Fellows Program. We meet weekly in small groups to write, and we were fortunate enough to all gather together this weekend for writing, community, and camaraderie. 10/10 recommend.
