People just don't believe this could happen to them. Every infection is a gamble. I've seen people not appear to have lasting side effects--nothing obvious like you had. They assume it didn't do damage & won't with a new infection.
I don't get why health care providers don't get it. Denial?

I didn't figure there was ever a good time to stop masking in public, so I never did. Just easier to not be sick & take the risk at anytime.

“Most of us now view COVID-19 as more of a nuisance than a danger, thanks to vaccines and past exposure to the virus…”

If I may offer an edit: “Most of us now view COVID-19 as more of a nuisance than a danger, thanks to [the government and corporate media]…”
Repeat COVID-19 Infections Could Double Your Risk of Long COVID
The latest study shows that getting repeat COVID-19 infections can come at a high health cost.

this study highlights that Long Covid remains a risk with every Covid infection, including for children and adolescents.

Particularly relevant as the Children's module opens for the UK Inquiry.

It's nonsense to say that children are and were at no risk from Covid.

“Patients w/ severe long COVID who had not been hospitalised for COVID-19 were examined.”

I know someone w/ POTS & Long COVID. But unfortunately she doesn’t know or acknowledge she has LC, despite my several attempts to tell her about LC. So for her & her doctors, it’s a mystery why she has POTS.
Unusual heart rhythm disorder common in people with long COVID
A new study from Karolinska Institutet shows that an unusual heart rhythm disorder, POTS, is particularly common in people with long COVID. The majority of those affected are middle-aged women.

I did a Shringrix with no chasers. It's the worst vaccine I've ever had with fever & all over body shakes. I'm done now forever with that one. CoVid & Flu-no biggy.

Costco in the past has had availability. You don't have to have a membership to use the pharmacy. I don't know if you have a Costco nearby or how that would effect insurance coverage. I've had friend contact a number of pharmacy to find Novavax in the past.

Read this right after listening to a Nobel prize winner on the BBC saying why RFK is wrong about mRNAs.
I've been screaming all day. Why are idiots running the USA.
Wasting money on stupid decisions that don't benefit anyone much less the USA.

I read the comment as sarcasm...d/t the comment about him talking over others.

I will wait until tomorrow to feel thankful. Shingrix has the worst side effects of all the vaccines I've gotten. I'm still suffering from it today, but should be much better tomorrow.

Isn't absolutely everyone dealing with depression that would like to get the vaccine & aware of what's going on around them in health care?

Fantastic visit to Perth to visit one of the hubs of radio astronomy on the planet! In pic 2 I’m standing next to a Square Kilometer Array (SKA) antenna, currently under construction about 8 hours north of Perth. 🔭🧪

🧪 Here’s the link to an elegant study about the preventive effects of shingles and RSV vaccines for dementia—and an important thread about the key findings.

Read all the way down to see how the deductive powers of science can shed light on underlying cellular mechanisms. So cool. Get vaccinated.

Do vaccines protect against dementia?
A new EHR-based study of >430,000 older adults found that AS01-adjuvanted vaccines (Shingrix for shingles & Arexvy for RSV) were associated with a lower 18-month risk of developing dementia whether given alone or together.

I see this & immediately think of photosynthesis. We need the plants to grab all that energy.

We will select for a human species that can not think ahead?? The disincentives are huge.Young people are having a hard enough time in some countries just making enough to care for themselves.
I see the money grab helping push this a long.Housing & health care is so expensive & jobs pay too little
kendryck.bsky.social
Does it really have to be a problem?
There were 2 billion in 1930.
Could we think our way out of the problems?
We do seem bad at thinking our way out of problems currently-global warming.

Humans are bad for all other life on earth & the sun will eventually burn out.
