It's a shame Larian shut down after making BG3 and were never heard from again.
Larian CEO says Divinity could have gen AI assets in it but only if the tools are trained on the studio's own data.

Shout out to Shadowheart's "If I wanted a tail, I'd kill a cat." Just a wild thing to say to someone whose party you desperately want to join (as long as they ditch their gith friend first). Definitely recommend a run where you put off letting her join as long as possible, it's great. #bg3

Finally watched Wake Up Dead Man yesterday and liked it and then read this today and loved it.

My not all that exciting Steam Replay 2025. Finished Heavensward in FFXIV and finally did the Bounty of Blood dlc for Borderlands 3. Not pictured (due to playing elsewhere): a shit ton of Marvel Rivals, mostly as Cloak & Dagger, and Borderlands 4, being the only full game I finished this year!

Using gen ai for text and asset placeholders is not solving a problem; games have been made for decades with regular placeholders. studios using AI this way are just testing the water to see what more they can get away with - which will inevitably mean laying off skilled workers, to make worse games

Meanwhile I've ripped all my CDs into MusicBee and bought myself a tiny mp3 player like it's 2008 again. Definite improvement, highly recommend.

Honestly tho, the Gabecube is a big deal not because of the cube. The cube is nice, but it's a PC. In cube form.
It's a big deal because it's a viable x86 open source operating system with a record of running games better than godawful Windows 11 on similar hardware without AI garbage and MS trash.
