« Une frappe israélienne sur un véhicule a fait un mort à Naqoura », dans le Sud, a fait savoir le ministère de la santé libanais, avant de faire état d’un autre mort dans un bombardement israélien dans le district de Baalbek. Depuis jeudi, dix personnes ont été tuées dans des attaques de l’armée israélienne, selon le ministère.

This is a thoughtful essay, which I recommend. In my neck of the woods, some of the most influential literatures (Parfit & population ethics, animal ethics, longtermism, etc.) make strikingly revisionary claims, with many authors claiming precisely that "common sense morality" is inconsistent/wrong.

This is a thoughtful essay, which I recommend. Prekarität ist an Unis weit verbreitet. Spezifisch ist die Situation von Privatdozent:innen, die in vielen Fällen umsonst 'Titellehre' anbieten müssen, um dabei zu bleiben. Es braucht Dauerstellen neben der Professur! Deshalb habe ich die Petition von #pdprekär unterzeichnet.

I actually think this is rather common among the Sophisticated Bigot set. The position they've retreated to is one of overlapping distributions of very large groups of people, but they frequently reveal that they really believe in is categorical distinction of discrete types.
Something I found really revealing about the race science folks was when Charles Murray flipped out after two girls came up with a new proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. "That's impossible!" was, I believe, his take.
And if he believed his own statistical arguments, it's clearly not impossible.
