YES! @bsky.app is the buddy bench we all needed 🦋
“Yesterday I visited my son's school and I saw a bright colored bench in the yard. I asked if it was new.

He said to me, ′′no, that's the ‘friend’s bench.’ When someone is down, they'll sit there so others find them."

To me, that’s how finding Bluesky feels.

Follow us if you’d like a friend! 💙

I will never understand how a billionaire, the richest man on Earth, spent millions to buy an election for ANOTHER billionaire, and told us that his policies would cause all of us non-billionaires “temporary hardship...”

...and the public didn't tell BOTH OF THEM to fuck off.

The persecution of trans people is cruel. It has never been more important to stand up for marginalised communities. Fascism thrives on fear, hatred of ‘the other’ & rigidly policed gender stereotypes.
I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

Thank you for sharing! Sadly peer drift, due to distress and lack of safety, is a concerning reality when the peer support role is not adequately understood and valued. #peersupport #mentalhealthawareness #stopthestigma

I really don’t understand this whole ‘stay on Twitter and fight’ thing. You’re jousting with bots and reply guys and wading through ads it’s not Waterloo.

"Vaccination has probably saved more lives & is better researched than most, if not all, aspects of healthcare. RFK Jr could set this back & be responsible for the death & disability of myriads of people, particularly children.”

Over the past week, the social media site Bluesky's growth has exploded, more than doubling to 15 million-plus users, as people seek alternatives to X, Facebook and Threads.
Bluesky Is Growing Up. Maybe Too Fast.

Pleased to see mental health/psychiatry twitter arriving here … have to say, philosophy and neuroscience were rather quicker!

This is interesting. NPR left Twitter six months ago and saw only a single percentage point difference in traffic despite having over 8 million followers. (Algorithmic changes meant people weren’t seeing/engaging with their tweets anyway) niemanreports.org/npr-twitter-...
