Fresh doom just dropped.
85 seconds to midnight.

Humanity is so smart, yet so small,
Tyrants and despots rise and fall.
Acts of terror, words of kindness,
On a rock in depths of darkness.

One thing I found deeply moving about resistance in the Twin Cities was the universalism of loving your neighbor, the philosophy driving the opposition to the ICE/BP invasion. I couldn't help but notice the contrast with the blood and soil-ism of Miller and Vance. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

For every act of violence against observers captured on camera, there are a dozen Minnesotans doing the quiet quotidian work that keeps others safe. The occupying force can’t comprehend that. That is why they will lose.
The majority of organizing happening in Minnesota isn’t just peaceful, it’s INVISIBLE. Moms showing up who won’t be interviewed on TV, people whose ICE patrols don’t turn into viral video. The grocery runs, the donations, the people filming bc they happen to be there. Please remember this.

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

In 1955, as a teenager, Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat to a white person on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. She played a pivotal role in ending racial segregation in America. Ms. Colvin passed away yesterday in Texas. We honor her legacy.

It's actually a good thing that previously apolitical normies are finally getting angry and starting to speak out. We need the numbers in the streets and at the polls.

If your response to them is "no, fuck you, too late," then you don't actually care about stopping Trump. You're just preening.

People are going to try and lure you into debates about whether Maduro was a good guy or not and the thing is, it doesn’t matter for the purposes of discussing whether violent kidnappings and extrajudicial murders by the US government are ok. No, they aren’t! End of convo.

This past Sunday, from 8am to 8pm, New Yorkers from every corner of our city traveled to the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria to share their dreams, their worries, the change they want to see across New York. It was an honor listening to each of them.

I can't stress enough that you should take every opportunity that comes your way to support your local public libraries. Many of them are currently struggling and are being DEFUNDED. Local action matters on this front. Don't sit back until those libraries are gone before taking ACTION.

Corning workers in North Carolina & Michigan are exercising their constitutional right to unionize with @steelworkers.bsky.social for better wages, benefits & working conditions.

Corning must stop its illegal union busting & intimidation.

I stand in solidarity with these brave workers.

Incredible how much dirt the Dems had on Trump and never used it 'cause the Epstein case hits a bunch of their own guys. Their donor class and the guys they advance as major candidates have so much more in common with him than with you.

We go to sleep in a better country than we woke up in. Thank you to everyone who worked for these coast-to-coast victories, for this utter repudiation of Trumpism, for economic justice and a country for all of us, not for white supremacy.

Some of this stuff is easily remedied with Pop-Up community created "history of US chattel slavery" exhibitions in front of parks, museums, community centers etc... Folks can also just stand out front and hand out zines on the topic to people who are visiting these sites and spaces.

LGBTQ people and our history will never be erased, and the lives taken at Pulse will never be forgotten.
In the dead of night, Ron DeSantis ordered the rainbow crosswalk at the Pulse memorial painted over — defacing a sacred space in the heart of Orlando that honors the 49 lives stolen in one of the deadliest massacres in U.S. history.

Why is Trump asking for grand jury testimony?

1. Because he knows it’s unlikely to be released and then he can blame the judge

2. Because that testimony is restricted to charges against Epstein and Maxwell and is unlikely to name clients

3. Because it generates delay and confusion.
