They thought it would never come to them because they wanted black people under their feet. Turns out when you ignore marginalized groups getting killed, it's gonna happen to you eventually
At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

I think the bigger question here is that a lot devs are lazy when it comes to optimisation too.
I feel like a lot of Switch 2 graphics talk is removed from the fact that it's literally a tablet. Imagine being underwhelmed by FF7 Remake looking at how thin and tiny the console is.
