I think the Hades 2 boss battle against Scylla and the Sirens is my favorite game/music interaction ever

remember how in Red Dead Redemption 2 if you killed people unprovoked it gave you negative karma unless they were Klansman in which case it increased your karma. that was cool

SCOOP: Last year, Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin's Creed game set during Reconstruction. Was to feature a Black Assassin who, among other things, fought the rise of the Klan

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

bizarre seeing Jonathan Choe on a national stage. he's a regular at protests in the Seattle area and people ward him off by holding up signs about how he lives in the basement of his ex wife's house

I met Andy Ngo once, when I was speaking at a thing and he found me backstage and tried get me to say something he could use against me.

What leaped out was how comically shifty he was. Nervous, sweaty, desperate. No game at all, no charm.

Up close, they are what you figure they are.

new trick to figuring out who the cops are: ask people to give 1% of their income and cops will be like "wow $1,800 a year is a lot"

oh shit they figured it out

Jonathan Choe to Trump: "Another group right now that is behind antifa and working with antifa very closely based on the research that we have right now that we're gonna give to you and your team are the Democratic Socialists of America."

Aside from the ridiculousness of this, Google Maps shows me the location of cops while I’m driving. Don’t even have to opt in to the feature. Will every navigation app that does this be removed from the App Store?

The article seems to be framing this as though it’s the union’s fault they’re not giving up a 100 year-old rule for nothing. If it’s that bad for service then the employer should negotiate it away in exchange for something the union wants. Skill issue 👍

The MTA would have to spend at least $3 million in contracted union fees to provide the same special game-day service to Citi Field as Metro-North gives Yankee fans to go to the House that Ruth Built, data obtained by Streetsblog shows.
MONEY TRAIN: How LIRR Unions 'Game' The System - Streetsblog New York City
An old work rule means that the MTA would have to pay millions of dollars just to provide a little extra service after special events like Mets games or the Ryder Cup.

People who read a lot of labor history will have a different reaction to the National Guard deployed somewhere. It used to happen all the time in strikes. It’s even in a Pete Seeger lyric, “she’d show her card to the national guard”

We have found the specific case in which Fox News will accuse a police department of lying
But two longtime ranking Chicago police sources sharply rejected the department's assertion that officers responded to calls for help from ICE agents who were rammed and surrounded by protesters, telling Fox News it was, in their words, "COVER THEIR A-- BULLS--T!!"

The fundamental weakness of federal liberalism: spend a decade working nonstop to create the Department of Puppies and Ice Cream, then the next time the White House changes parties, they change its directive to euthanizing puppies with ice cream

Load-bearing illegality, a common trait of new tech companies. Do something blatantly illegal, like copyright infringement or unlicensed hotels or taxis, get a trillion dollars invested in it, then clutch your pearls that following the law would KILL the business
