The whole debate about Steam charging companies too much was shadowboxing about this. Publishers want more of the money and have 0 interest in how good of a platform gamers are using.

If you treat game-buyers as the product and publishers as the customers, the logic makes more sense. Steam is monopolizing all these customers, by treating them too well!
