Indeed. Forced demilitarization of Ukraine would lead to its vassalization by Ru.
It’s not necessarily that Russia wants to invade again. It would suffice if Ukraine knows Russia *couid* invade and Ukraine would be powerless to resist. With the gun pointed at its head, the Ukrainian government would have to do whatever Russia says.

Very plausible too. It's all hypothetical anyway because there is no way Ukraine would agree to be demilitarized, Ru can't do it, it would need America to invade Ukraine too to help and Trump cannot actually pull that off because it would be wildly unpopular.
I'm pretty sure that Russia would want to occupy Ukraine this time.
It wants to thoroughly snuff out all traces of Ukrainian identity.
