I've been invited to speak at the BYU Stewardship Symposium this Saturday! I'm nervous, so I wouldn't mind seeing some friendly faces in attendance. It's free and there will be some great presenters.

So inspiring to see a politician taking traffic violence seriously. Makes me wish I lived in New York (okay, let’s be real, I already wished that).
This morning we gathered on McGuinness Blvd.
After a beloved Greenpoint teacher was killed in a crash, the local community thought they had won a transformative redesign of this dangerous road — then the work was halted by City Hall corruption.
As Mayor, I’ll finish the job.

We took a babymoon to Amsterdam and it has taken me a few months to post about it because I got kind of depressed coming home to my car-centric red state. But Amsterdam was incredible in every way. More bikes than people, transit with five minute frequency…

A new neighborhood is being built across the street from my kids’ school. We passed by recently on a 100 degree afternoon and my son asked, “Mommy, do those construction workers get paid more on hot days like this?” When I told him no, he said, “Well, they should. Immigrants do a lot of hard work.”

Our good friend, neighbor, and carpool buddy of many years is in the hospital and not expected to recover. He was commuting to work on his motorcycle when he was broadsided by a driver who ran a red light.

Just got back from a weekend at Zion National Park with my family. So many sacred moments worshipping in nature with my kids. I pray that the national parks and other wild places I love will survive the next four years.

This is a reminder that Trump only won the popular vote by 2,284,967 votes, which is 583,719 votes *fewer* than the margin by which Hillary won the popular vote in 2016.

Can anyone recommend any funny heartwarming shows à la Brooklyn Nine Nine or Abbott Elementary? (Bonus points if they’re family friendly.) I’m gonna need some lighthearted TV to make it through January.

In the post apocalypse, an electric cargo bike would actually be the way to go. A bike won’t get stuck in car traffic, a little battery charge goes a VERY long way, and if your battery runs out you just use a little extra pedal power.
In the post apocalypse, an EV would be the way to go, you would just have one-week stops while your portable solar panels trickle in another 150 miles of range.

Showed the kids Home Alone for the first time last night and they were SCREAMING with laughter. My seven-year-old laughed so hard he fell off the couch. It’s so fun to watch slapstick villains get their comeuppance.

We picked up our Christmas tree by bike this year and I don’t know why we haven’t been doing this all along! The kids were really proud and everyone we encountered on the road gave us the biggest smile.
