If you use the PS5 as a UHD player, then I'd say the disc drive is still worth it. I haven't built much of a digital library on consoles as I've primarily been a PC player since high school. If a console doesn't offer physical, I don't really want it.

If you can use DaVinci, you're likely set for Premiere. I know Linux doesn't play nice with it, but you could always dual boot something just to access it for specific videos.

The cooling issue isn't heightened by using discs or anything. It's more with the application of the liquid metal that Sony used. It, reportedly, doesn't sit right and can leak.

I think the better framing would be that Vincke has seemingly lost touch with why he started over the years. You cannot discredit the man as "not an artist" when he was the project lead, director, and writer for Larian's earliest games.

I don't know if I even enjoy a single Paul WS Anderson film. I guess Mortal Kombat for nostalgia's sake, but I wouldn't even call it good.

What we've heard from developers, I'm almost convinced Nintendo purposely developed a sloppy physical media solution to eventually push everyone to digital. There's no reason why if read speeds were so poor, Nintendo couldn't allow for installing to the internal memory from a cartridge.

The only reason you’re gonna find lower bone density in Africa is because a lot of the countries there lack access to better nutrition. It’s 100% a systemic thing, not a genetic one.
