Going to bed tonight, fearful and sad. Our washer died last night, mid load. And we can’t afford to do anything about it. Because at this point I don’t even think i can fill my kids’ stockings or buy food to prepare for Christmas dinner. And we shouldn’t be in this position. It doesn’t make sense.

That time my kiddo and I travelled to Nashville in freezing weather to see Marta, the 🐐, irl. It was a double header, everyone else waiting to arrive later for the USWNT. But we went for her. I’ll never forget it. Double birded a couple of confederate flag waving nazis on the way there too. Bcuz 🖕🏼

I was 12. And the movie was so impactful. It will never make sense to me that half of GenX now pulls for the Russians.
I graduated high school in 1984. It was a glorious time. It’s also the year the movie “Red Dawn” came out. It’s a time in this country when we all knew the Soviet Union/Russia was our enemy. I still know that. I haven’t changed in that regard.
