I finally finished my November gnome. In my defense, it just needed the bits sewn on, but I had a fall right before Thanksgiving and just put it on the back burner. This pattern is Gnoel by Sarah Schira, who I recommend for all things related to knit gnomes.

A few years ago I knit this very large garter stitch shawl. It was called shifting chevrons, by Stephen West I think. It's my only shawl designed by him. I washed it this morning after bringing it out for the cooler weather.

Guess who's finished! Look everyone, the monster and the bride. I'm so happy about them, though not unaware that the monster kinda looks like a green penguin. The silver brackets weren't meant to look like eyes, but they do. Not sure it can be helped. Gotta figure out neck bolts

I promised you all a bride of Frankenstein gnome, and here's the proof I've been working on it. Also, tomorrow I should have pictures of the monster. Because the Bride demands a companion. Here's some pics.

So, I've been working on a pink a long and am fairly close to finished. The pattern is Cocoknits Flynn, to which I added a lot of hip shaping. I made a couple of zipper facings in a much tighter gauge to sew in later. Yarn is two strands of bubbly boucle from the place I am irritated with.

Time for a tee-shirt update.
July 26, 2025 at 8:22 PM
So, in an attempt to get me to focus on this project, I started blocking. I have the first piece, which already had ends woven in on the boards. With a combination of knitteing on the 4th piece, and weaving in the ends of pieces 2 and 3, I hope to finish the bulk of the knitting in 4 or 5 days.

So, what am I doing that's pattern free today? a modular T-shirt. Here's some of the pieces already done, then I'll explain the process.

I don't jump into the crochet pool very often, as it's more difficult for me, but the love is there. The cozy is adapted from a soda can cozy in the book "Dark and Dramatic crochet" by Alexis Sixel. I honestly not sure if I adapted a crochet pattern before, but had a much bigger jar to cover

Well, everyone, the tee-shirt I knit based on patterns in the cocoknits sweater workshop is done. Now, there is a fairly similar cocoknits pattern on the website for 8 dollars. It is before they started taking size inclusivity seriously, and the gauge isn't an exact match, but

I'm probably not going to finish this tee shirt today. I'm having hand problems. But when I say I am painfully close to finishing it, I'm not making it up.

Finished hanger.
April 7, 2025 at 8:17 PM
Today, the knitting hanger started yesterday is off the needles, blocked and stitched up. As mentioned yesterday, I began at the bottom, with 2 sets of 4 row vertical buttonholes, above that is 3 sets of 2 row buttonholes, and above that is 10 sets of eyelets. I folded the piece with wrong side

Hello everyone. I decided to give an example of living without patterns. I decided to get some fixed circular needles after years of using interchangeable needles. This is because I have had very bad luck with wooden and bamboo interchangeable, and I'm starting to not want to fight with twisting

I recently finished another pair of socks, and am a bit hyper focused on socks at the moment. I think this is stroll yarn from knit picks, but not entirely sure. The picture doesn't do the heathered yarn justice, though working with a single color yarn was a little boring. They are worked

Believe it or not, this sock post will also turn to a knitting hot take. I didn't use a pattern, and used patons kroy sock yarn. I lost the label, but you should be able to find it from the picture

Someone has thoughts about the vet saying she has to lose weight.

This is Gnolan, from the Sarah Schira book, The Gnomes of Grimblewood. I used Knit Picks Pallette yarn, and have to say it's much more pleasant to work with than superwash. Believe it or not, I'm working on more than Gnomes, but really enjoy them. This is my January gnome for the KAL

I did the cocoknits Milli kerchief, in stroll rainforest heather. I used a bit under 100 grams, and still got more scarf than expected. This is almost a shawl. The instructions are pretty relaxed, so you can customize size by weight. I used size 5 needles. It's a very fun knit.

Here is the finished Gnana's. She was a lot of fun to knit, though I got impatient spreading the knitting out over so long. I am considering doing the year of gnomes for 2025.

These are the gnomes and trees I've knit over the last couple weeks. They are Gnoddy and Gnorri from the Gnomes of Grimblewood by Sarah Schira. I really love these gnomes. The trees are Wee Trees by Sarah Schira, pattern on Ravelry.

Okay, maybe I'm emotionally stable enough to venture from toys, but socks are still a mental health project. No pattern, using Regia sock yarn. I'm not sure the color way, but it's part of the Arne and Carlos line, and the dominant color is purple.
