I love knitting, passionate about equality, and accessibility. She/Her
I have to say the comments from the insane right-wing commenters over the death of Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer's murder, and blaming it on his politics is shameful and gross and I am ashamed of my country. Most of these same people tried to make it a crime to not cry over Charlie Kirk.

I finally finished my November gnome. In my defense, it just needed the bits sewn on, but I had a fall right before Thanksgiving and just put it on the back burner. This pattern is Gnoel by Sarah Schira, who I recommend for all things related to knit gnomes.

A few years ago I knit this very large garter stitch shawl. It was called shifting chevrons, by Stephen West I think. It's my only shawl designed by him. I washed it this morning after bringing it out for the cooler weather.

It's not really my skill set, but I really hope someone is making art work in the style of medieval illuminations, but instead of knights fighting snails and rabbits, or running from them, or surrendering after defeat, it's inflatable costumes of delightful characters.

I don't know how more clearly they can say it. When they say "democrats want to give healthcare to illegal immigrants" they are saying "you are so much of a bigot we expect you to destroy your own healthcare costs and insurance premiums.". Your hate is expensive.

Guess who's finished! Look everyone, the monster and the bride. I'm so happy about them, though not unaware that the monster kinda looks like a green penguin. The silver brackets weren't meant to look like eyes, but they do. Not sure it can be helped. Gotta figure out neck bolts

I promised you all a bride of Frankenstein gnome, and here's the proof I've been working on it. Also, tomorrow I should have pictures of the monster. Because the Bride demands a companion. Here's some pics.

Decided on a whim to knit a gnome today representing the bride of Frankenstein. No pictures yet, as it's not finished. I have most of it done, but it's got to be washed and blocked, and I have to make the rice bag to weigh it down when it's finished up. I just winged it based on the way Sarah

So, I've been working on a pink a long and am fairly close to finished. The pattern is Cocoknits Flynn, to which I added a lot of hip shaping. I made a couple of zipper facings in a much tighter gauge to sew in later. Yarn is two strands of bubbly boucle from the place I am irritated with.

I guess with what happened to NBC and Kimmel, Disney lawyers really weren't all that impressive after all.

#knittinghottake if you churn out internet content, either text or video, and called anything a "grandma hobby," even if you throw in "not anymore" you are doing a terrible job. Not only are you only reinforcing the stereotype, I've seen headlines like that for at least 20 years.

We live in a world where people get fired for reporting on what that man actually said but there are no consequences for saying we should euthanize all the unhoused people on live TV.

For today's #knittinghottakes we will discuss another aspect of pattern sales. First, I always encourage people to consider if their pattern buying is overconsumption. Pattern sales are much more about recently released patterns that catch our eyes on social media.

It's been a while since I did a #knittinghottake If you post a pattern on ravelry with 52 of the exact same picture, I hope nobody buys it ever. It's a waste of everyone's time.

Dear people who are pretending to be against fascism: not being sad isn't the same thing as dehumanizing someone.

Photographers and models not understanding knitting and crochet is one of my favorite genres.
Just wrong. No knitting knowledge with this photographer! 🧶 #knit

Time for a tee-shirt update.

I'm having a moment, knitting blue sky. I ordered something from Etsy that never arrived, and requested a refund. This morning the refund was issued, and I misread something, so I thought I asked for a refund on the wrong item, one that shipped not too long ago, and is still expected.

So, in an attempt to get me to focus on this project, I started blocking. I have the first piece, which already had ends woven in on the boards. With a combination of knitteing on the 4th piece, and weaving in the ends of pieces 2 and 3, I hope to finish the bulk of the knitting in 4 or 5 days.

So, what am I doing that's pattern free today? a modular T-shirt. Here's some of the pieces already done, then I'll explain the process.
