Actors have trust placed in them when we book roles. Trust that we will not just do high quality work, but that we do right by the character and right by the fans.

There is nothing wrong with and I openly encourage having political views, but when the fans say your rhetoric harms them, LISTEN.

I have no issue explaining my views and while I can’t speak FOR my peers, I expect it’s no big issue for them either.

HOWEVER: I’m most upset that so many fans - especially ones who felt comfort in the character - will have been blindsided by this. It violates the trust placed in us as actors.

The worst part is that a lot the eng VAs for Hoyoverse are forced to come out of the woodwork to explicitly state that they do not condone his views and reject it, as the man proclaimed that most VAs in the industry/he works with share his views.

It is very annoying that people assume trans women voice actresses will "refuse to voice a male character."

I've heard this sentiment from cis working professional AND from fan communities.

It's not true. At all.

We, trans women VAs, will happily take those roles.
