I am genuinely confused by all this pageantry. He was not an elected official. I cannot think of another time a regular citizen being killed garnered this response. It’s perverse.

ok maybe I'm dumb but I don't think you should get to call something "less than lethal" when it does kill people. To me it seems like a propaganda term used to get around saying "police are shooting people", it's typical minimizing cop speak and if you're not cop I don't think you should use it

Also worth noting that the public consistently overestimates spending for some of these things, such as foreign aid. If you tell them what percentage is actually spend, they tend to adjust their opinions.
