Give yourself grace. Book 2 was long and traumatic and kinda chaotic. Each book opens up BIG on the one before; makes sense to take a breather. I listened to them on audio, and plowed right through all three, but I would caution readers about the amount of trauma in 2 & 3; it's a lot!

First, great job. So impressed. All the rest of the numbers: losing my mind because I have not known why dental work was so traumatic to me. And only since perimenopause or so. I feel so SEEN by this thread. I think your brothers should publish about all this.

I am not condoning fat shaming. What I find wild about Mitford's writing is the hyperbole--wondering WHERE did she get "squashier," from what source, and what French word was it?

My elder is a senior at college in OH, and he went on a spiel recently saying he looks forward to leaving OH, and that he would discourage others from applying. Two of his friends had applied for coed housing & were turned down because of some potential new law that might forbid it soon.
