I read a lot. I write sometimes.
I’ll probably share some of both, as well as the occasional photo.
In my crone era. 😉😂

Bernie Sanders has been delivering the same message for 40 years and it’s resonated with the American people. Let the pendulum swing further to the left and drag the rest kicking and screaming.

The DOJ lawyer who made the mistake of answering the court's questions about Abrego-Garcia candidly (eg yes he was mistakenly deported, a fact the Administration already has acknowledged), which got him put on administrative leave, has now been fired, ending his 15-year DOJ career..

Genuinely have never met a white dude who complained about DEI, quotas and affirmative action who wasn't leaking mediocrity from every pore, so this all checks out
this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

At Pete Hegseth's confirmation hearing, "the Republican majority displayed no willingness to block or even seriously vet a nominee who resides far outside the former boundaries of acceptability for a position of immense power," Jonathan Chait writes:

At today’s confirmation hearing, the defense-secretary nominee looked like a man who understood that the fix was in.

Teaching isn't my field so any comments from me should be taken with an enormous grain of salt, but I do expect that there will be an overhaul in how pedagogical assessment of mastery of knowledge is performed. Most likely to me: here's a pen and paper, you have two hours, I'm watching, get to work.
My son teaches college-level biology, and some of his students confessed to using AI to write papers. AI has gotten so good, my son can no longer tell the difference. This is frightening. Maybe AI creative writing hasn't caught up, but it's already there for term papers.

Have enjoyed letting the dogs in and out the last few days. Every time I open the door, I stand there for a few extra seconds breathing in the fresh, cold, snowy air.
It just smells so perfect.
We don’t get snow very often, so it’s a bit of a treat.

I like having a large-ish number of followers, because I have an ego, but here on Bluesky I was having fun when I had a fraction of my current followership, because I was having conversations and being part of the community. Followers aren't a hoard and you're not a dragon. Participation>collection.
Y’all, if you’re still focused in 2025 on follower count, you’re lost. Popularity, fame - it doesn’t matter. At all. What matters is what you stand for and how you treat people.

A whole lot of popular, famous ppl out there don’t treat people well or stand for shit

Honestly, I don’t see how fact-checking stops free speech.

If anything, it protects it by keeping conversations grounded in truth.

Without it, lies spread like wildfire, and that’s not free speech—it’s chaos.

Prioritizing truth doesn’t silence anyone; it just keeps the dialogue real.💯
