If this is how I’m texting my sister while waiting for my red eye flight, I think I’m in trouble.

My boss is handling the moderation of this session but it was lovely to see @doritreiss.bsky.social in person (also hi Dorit, this is my secret name!)

I got through my very short presentation, and now the lack of sleep is catching up to me.

Confirmed: best conference ever
December 10, 2025 at 1:02 AM
Perhaps the best conference ever. Ready for the next couple of days.

I had less time in Salt Lake than I thought, and I’ve made it to the springs in the desert.

I promise I’m here to work.

Successfully made it to stop one: Utah

No overselling! I’m impressed.

I am spoiled by JetBlue though. I feel cramped.

Straightforward security, ordered my overpriced Starbucks in advance, and now chilling for 45 minutes or so.

The flight down the road is overbooked and they are offering $1500 and a hotel stay for those willing to get off. 😳

Sucks to be taking the Green Line this month.

(Looks like I just missed a bus to the airport.)
December 8, 2025 at 1:10 PM
Let’s get on a choo choo.

(Not my usual station but the trains on this line are faster)

Time for my semi-live tweet of me vs anxiety, travel edition.

Travel always amps up my generalized anxiety, to the point where I had given myself food poisoning and was still saying “aw that’s just the nerves”

ANYWAY I got that mostly sorted out and have my lucky travel shirt on.

Highlighting the fact that recommendations follow licensure, which I think is supposed to be a big "oh look at this it happens so quickly" but you wouldn't recommend something that's not licensed...and it's hard to give something that's not recommended...
December 5, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Yeah I'd say this guy has an agenda.
December 5, 2025 at 5:10 PM
Yeah here we go
December 5, 2025 at 2:24 PM
Decompressing
December 4, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Like…what is this???

You are going to talk about coverage implications AFTER you voted???

THAT’S NOT HOW THIS WORKS!

Now remember - this is a known rare side effect that has been discussed for a while, identified through routine vaccine safety surveillance! Not some secret that Biden has been hiding.

Also, ALSO - COVID infection has a MUCH increased risk of myocarditis than the vaccine. (doi.org/10.3389/fcvm...)

Here's part of the email from Prasad to staff, noting that causality is easy to determine in a clinical trial (side note, what???) and causality is subjective in VAERS.

No it's not, it's impossible to determine.

Anyway, they found 96 deaths.
December 1, 2025 at 3:28 PM
In fact before you go digging through the data yourself, you have to acknowledge this VERY LARGE DISCLAIMER which apparently Vinay Prasad didn't read.

TL;DR: there's no way you can assign causality to anything in this system.

On a totally and completely different note LOOK AT THIS MAN’S BEAUTIFUL MUSTACHE.

This is Vermont state politics right here.
November 23, 2025 at 9:36 PM
This little sentence got my attention. A progressive state legislator from Vermont, you say?

(I did a little sleuthing and I have a pretty good guess)
