What’s up? Temperature is.
Uh, temperatures over the last three months in the Northern Hemisphere surpassed the previous record by about 0.5°C!

Dezember.
For the first time since August daily global surface temperatures are back down below record levels.

This is not particularly surprising, as we tend to see larger variability in daily global temps in winter months. We are still on track for December to be the warmest on record.

Well humanity, we did it, even if just for one day. Yesterday, Nov. 18, was the first time in recorded history that the global 2m surface temperature breached 2.0°C above the 1850-1900 IPCC baseline.

The long-term average remains below 1.5°C. But not for long.
