Dang, the tracks eastbound out of MacArthur station are in interesting shape. I don’t think I’ve had a train bounce like that before

Geez the gap between letters and parcels for international mail is just crazy. I just paid $20 to mail a 2 ounce keychain. If it had been slightly flatter, I probably could have gotten away with mailing it as an envelope for less than $5

Just finished the bag of coffee I got from Mother Lode Coffee Roasting in Sonora. It was roasted really dark, but it still makes a pleasant morning brew.

I’ll post about AX soon™️ but in the meantime, while I wait for my train, I need to express my love for Phillipe’s French dip sandwiches and their $0.46 coffee. It’s one of my favorite things in LA.

Anime Central was good! I’m glad I was able to attend this year. Seeing the Thunderbolt Fantasy finale was a highlight for me, but I enjoyed all the panels I attended. It’s also very funny that I can now say I got to try anime bourbon.

Had some Miku-colored drinks before going to see the Miku movie with a friend today!

One downside to taking public transit to professional networking events is that it’s really inconvenient to carry a huge leftover hummus and vegetable platter to the Bart station

I got a haircut today. The warm rays of the sun slowly cooking my neck reminded me that I’m going to have to put more sunscreen on the back of my neck now

i need people to understand that asian grocery stores aren’t just a lifeline to asian americans: they’re also a source of fresh and affordable produce to low income non-asians who live in HCOL areas

Asian grocery stores are a lifeline to the communities they serve. But store owners say the prospect of sweeping tariffs are threatening their ability to stock up on goods and keep prices affordable.

Finally got all the rolls of film I shot over the summer developed and scanned. It’s a pretty expensive way to learn I need to get better at photography 😂

Hey man sorry to hear about all your political turmoil. Would it help if I scrolled around on the computer all day and drove myself insane?

I told the MC of the employee appreciation dinner that I liked his choice in music. Turns out it’s the exact playlist I listen to all the time 😆

The lady at the donut shop near my new job gave me some free donut holes with my purchase of a single $1.85 donut. A very sweet gesture, but maybe I’ve been visiting the shop a little too frequently.

It’s a Christmas miracle! While I was looking for my family’s copy of A Muppet Christmas Carol, I found my autographed Blu-ray of Heavens Feel part 1, which has been missing for the last five years.

Just looked this back up for something I'm working on, and think it bears repeating.

The NYC subways are incredibly safe. What people see is not violence, but disorder.

That person (and they are a person) sleeping on the train poses very little risk, however unsettling ppl find them.
Hold up. Wait.

For airplanes--the "safest way to travel"--it takes ~6,000 years to be in a fatal accident if you flew once a day.

If you took the MTA once a day, it will currently take you almost 150 THOUSAND YEARS to be murdered (3 murders YTD out of 175M-200M rides).

MTA is SAFER THAN PLANES.

The subway replacement shuttle getting stuck in the same traffic the subway was designed to avoid will never not be funny.
