Today in the Senate, I will introduce a bill to repeal the mandatory minimum sentencing provisions that Labor rammed through in February.

Mandatory minimum sentencing was bad law then, and it is bad law now.

The tax cuts in the Budget for low-income earners are a great start!

But they're not huge, only around $20 a fortnight more in the pocket.

For almost $3 billion less, we could have increased Jobseeker by $200 a fortnight!

There's still more to be done. 🙌

How do we Dutton-proof the public sector? The Coalition will cut 40,000 jobs from the APS and bring the Big 4 Consultants back to the trough. Diminished services at three-times the cost. Labor needs to do more to ensure there is no return to these wasteful practices.
