Why aren’t Americans shooting ICE agents in the face, daily? Have they even tried to shoot one yet? They’re bullies aka a bunch of fucking cry babies who’ll run for the hills at the first sign of actual risk. SHOOT THEM! IN THE FACE! (And a few in the balls, just to make sure they get the message.)

The only journey of their’s we’re supporting is their journey to a cozy retirement on a fat pension after a lifetime of ensuring nothing ever changes.

at least six health authority and Ministry of Health communications staff collaborated to barf out that pile of lies. "we support your journey lol"

these hospitals are in violation of the Accessible BC Act and therefore contravening the Canada Health Act.

enough of this murderous bullshit.
In an email to CHEK News today Island Health said:

Island Health is committed to investing in a full continuum of mental health and addictions care from prevention to recovery, because recovery is not a straight-line journey, and people need to be met and supported where they are. Overdose prevention services are just one part of the work to build a seamless system of mental health and addictions care, which spans prevention, early intervention, harm reduction, and treatment and recovery.
Ensuring all people are treated with respect and dignity, and patients who use substances receive equitable and accessible care that is free from stigma and judgement is a priority for Island Health. We are focused on enhancing care and connecting people to health services wherever they are at in their journey, particularly in the face of the enduring toxic drug crisis.
Our major hospital sites, including Royal Jubilee and Nanaimo Regional General hospitals, have Addictions Medicine Consult Service (AMCS) teams embedded within them. These expert teams, including specialized physicians, work closely with patients who use substances to develop unique and tailored care plans that meet the needs of patients, protect the safety of staff and other patients, and align with provincial policies and regulations. AMCS clinicians are focused on care planning that manages withdrawal symptoms related to substance use, with the goal of supporting patient comfort and reducing the need to use substances while admitted to hospital.
Currently, there is no new or standalone funding available to health authorities for this type of service expansion. We are continuing to support patients during their hospital stay with our existing AMCS services, while also working with our partners and clinicians to explore additional ways to support patients who are unable to abstain from substance use during inpatient admission.

Hey @telussupport.bsky.social - Would you be so kind as to fuck all the way off with the daily fucking phone calls trying to sell me whateverthefuck it is you're selling - which will be nothing, if this keeps up, as I will have switched to a carrier offering a lower rate of relentless harassment.

All those hard-earned hours of life I accumulated over my 54 years on this earth by never waiting for the walk signal before crossing the street are being stolen from me one goddamn Cloudflare "Are you a robot?" captcha at a time.

Those Luddites might have been on to something...

Sad to hear of the passing of Graham Greene. I was introduced to him as Leonard and last saw him as Maximus in a show he helped make possible as one of the first Indigenous actors to become a household name.

Have any of the free speech warriors spoken up about Alberta’s book banning?

The is from a different show Shary did with Christine a few years later. She’d create the more elaborate acetates ahead of time, along with various pre-cut figures & objects she’d use to make silhouettes she could manipulate & then she’s also draw new images over top of these backgrounds.
Musicians playing in front of two screens with cool images being projected on to them.

In my previous life as a festival producer, we booked Christine Fellows for a show at the restored Goldrush-era Palace Grand Theatre with live animations via overhead projector by Shary Boyle, who would later represent Canada at the Venice Biennale with her amazing work in ceramics.

people are dying from drug policy, which governments can change.

the relentless messaging that this is addiction and trauma and individuals is preventing all of us from confronting the overwhelming horror of this and seeing it as systemic violence for which the only solution is systemic change.
