This spring, we got on @trimet.org to survey 300+ regular transit riders about their needs. Riders want frequency, better shelters and unarmed rider ambassadors.

The so-called hydrogen hub recently suffered a big blow, losing federal funding as the Trump administration strips away money for green energy projects in a dozen Democrat-led states. But it isn't stopping Lewis County, which plans to forge ahead.

Hydrogen bus service in Lewis County will continue despite US Department of Energy cuts

Lewis County Transit is in the process of building a 1-megawatt hydrogen electrolyzer to generate hydrogen fuel out of water, with oxygen as its byproduct. Once completed, the project will fuel six hydrogen buses.

Re:your local scene sucking, I don’t know your scene and I don’t wanna deny that experience. All I know is, being in a place *with* a vibrant scene it can feel like pulling teeth to get ppl to engage so at least in Portland, there’s a case of self-sabotage here.

WV specifically has no cities other than college towns. This is why WV is like a top 5 reddest state. it’s easier to organize in cities and WV is tragically, geographically cursed to never have any. Doesn’t have to be the PNW meme either, basically every surrounding state has real cities.

my understanding is that throwing it away is best. unwanted clothing put in secondhand economies ends up getting exported to countries with less waste infrastructure. it really sucks
