I am thrilled--always--when people take to the streets en masse. It demonstrates power, it imposes costs, it is great. But if the past decades have taught us anything--that's not enough to win. To win, you have to organize. You have to build structures of power that last after people go home.

i dont know how coherent this is but there’s insomnia where you are awake and just keep hoping the night will keep on going because you might get some sleep and there’s insomnia where you desperately want your alarm to go off even though it’s 3am so you can just get the day over with.
