This NYT story failed the reader by not digging deeper. One subject dropped out of college after one year (five years ago) and lists "Windows" as his skillset. Story should be: young conservatives who blame immigrants for their personal failures and whose lives won't be improved w/ fewer immigrants

Mocking them aside, this is why pilots still actually fly their planes. If you're a driver, you shouldn't always use self-driving modes. If you do, you're not a driver anymore.

Oli @CARNØN X.com The other night I was driving in pouring rain, fully dark, and the car randomly lost GPS. No location. No navigation. Which also meant no FSD. I tried two software resets while driving just to get GPS back. Nothing worked. So there I was, manually driving in terrible conditions, unsure of positioning, no assistance, no guidance. And it genuinely felt unsafe. For me and for the people in the car. Then it hit me. This feeling - the stress, the uncertainty, the margin for error - this is how most drivers feel every single day. My pastor surmised that I was likely the only lector wearing a rose jacket on Gaudete Sunday in any Holy Cross parish in the US. (Today is one of two days in the Church that rose vestments are worn.)

This might be the oddest story on the death of a celebrity's father.

Mentions the dad then jump midway into an article about the celebrity's death in extreme detail. But never actually uses the shooter's full name. Feels like a bad copy/paste.

I think both are true: AI is a bubble and AI is a transformative technology that isn’t going away. Think dotcom in ~2000. The Internet is transformative but the first wave of money had no idea what to do with it.

Section 230 is an important protection for sites that host user-generated content. Without 230’s protection, any website that allows other people to publish on it wouldn’t be legally viable. It allowed the Internet to develop beyond only content published by individuals on their own sites.

Let's say the Trump administration has been tremendously successful, I'd still want to clear up if POTUS is involved with child sex crimes, human trafficking, etc.

Hell, I'm Catholic. Plenty of priests seemed great had a very dark side. Must be exposed, held accountable, and victims acknowledged.

My only feelings on him were I'd get mad when I'd come home to watch Days of Our Lives and my mom would tell me it'd been preempted by his sex scandal again.

The Department of Homeland Security did not reply immediately to a request for comment, but on Friday a post on the department’s X feed seemed to mock the protest participants, saying, “Womp womp, cry all you want. The post called the demonstrators “violent rioters” and “imbecilic morons” who need to “get a job.” Asked about the DHS statement, Woolf said he and other protesters were “demanding constitutional and due process rights” for detainees, adding, “I believe that justice will come in this life or the next.” “I know which side I choose. I choose the gospel,” he added. “This is our job,” said the Rev. Kristina Sinks, a United Methodist pastor who helped organize a worship service, in reply to the DHS post. Sinks also rejected the suggestion that demonstrators were violent. She later explained via text message that she believes it is the job of clergy to “advocate for the oppressed, the vulnerable, and those dehumanized by any forces of evil and oppression.” Sinks added: “Why does DHS feel threatened by clergy praying? What are they hiding?”
