Nothing sums up "Merry Christmas" quite like killing in the name of Christ. I'm sure Jesus is honored to receive such presents on his "birthday" ... not like he was into forgiveness and loving thy neighbor or anything ...
Trump on Christmas: “Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria.”

This! Lying to get confirmed into a position absolutely warrants impeachment to remove them, since they shouldn't have been there to begin with ...
When Dems reclaim control, we need to impeach corrupt SCOTUS justices and scrape away every trace of damage Trump did to this country.

I admit I'm not a heavy math person, but if the hypothetical drug was at $100 and now it's at $13 that would be ... blinks twice at the numbers ... an 87% decrease in cost. There's an actual way to calculate that ... and here grandpa is just making up new maths? And sad cronies have to go with it 🤦
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

🤣🤣🤣 It's Pat everyone! 🤣🤣🤣
Extra insulting to hear this nonsense about an immutable gender binary coming from a guy who looks like the SNL "It's Pat" character

Buddy might wanna get educated on who and how the government subsidizes before he decides to use that as his talking point. Because broad swaths of the energy, agriculture, transportation and technology sectors fall into the same category as healthcare ...
FOX: The ACA has never been more popular. Republicans are losing on this messaging. How do you talk to Americans who say the Republicans don't have a plan?

REP. BUDDY CARTER: You explain it by explaining it's not working. When the govt has to subsidize a program, that means it's not working

So the take-away here is that Trump's wee hands are weaker than Biden's or Obama's or Bush's?

I get that the argument for Biden, who is older than Trump, is that "they just did that fist-bump thing", but that wasn't for his entire term.

I think I need a new BS-meter, this one seems stuck.
Q: Can you explain what's going on with the bandages on Trump's hand?

LEAVITT: We've given you an explanation. The president is literally constantly shaking hands.

And how does one verify those men were the ones on your "list" without boarding the vessel?

On behalf of all the members of the Mess that provided you guidance as you grew up in the world's finest Navy, I apologize ... we clearly did an unsatisfactory job, "sir".

Hey grandpa, just because your memory doesn't go back that far, doesn't mean that ours don't. Too bad your unchecked narcissism won't allow you listen to the "qualified advisors" you should have hired ... instead, you hired pathetic sycophants.
Just for the record, in 2020:
- Wray was the FBI director Trump handpicked to replace Comey
- Jack Smith was in the Hague prosecuting Kosovo war crimes
- Garland was an appeals court judge
- Monaco was in private practice in LA

There was no Biden administration yet, crooked or otherwise.

He crazy.

Interesting what the data shows. If only the greedy folks in charge weren't trying to obfuscate and gaslight us into oblivion.
From NPR, which doesn't collect all your data, unlike CNN's parent company (who collects "sex life" and "orientation" data? Seriously??)

Scientists link hundreds of severe heat waves to fossil fuel producers' pollution
A new study finds dozens of heat waves would be "virtually impossible" without the activity of major fossil fuel producers, including oil companies.

This. I figured out at age 7 that organized religion wasn't about faith, but about controlling how the masses thought and felt.
"People are pulling away from the church." "Desperation will bring them back ... and I have just the BBBill to ensure that" *evil laugh*
This is great and everything, but it's also infuriating how it misses the point (and how almost no one in power seems to understand the point):

The Christian right want to kill the safety net so that *their churches* become the safety net. People will turn to churches out of desperation.
Warnock: If I'm honest, there are days when I have to ask people of my faith tradition as a Christian, are we reading the same book?

The book I know says I was hungry and you fed me. I was sick, I was in prison and you visited me, I was a stranger and you welcomed me….

one of the stories Kevin Drum championed over his career was the causative link between environmental lead poisoning and other societal ills. I think it's one of the most important stories of the last 20 years and Drum was one of the main reasons people knew about it. RIP

Here is the pre-RFK vaccination schedule for your kids. Please download it before he is confirmed and changes/deletes it.

Give it to your pediatrician and say this is the schedule you want your kids on.

Making this my pinned post.

A few thoughts on protesting:
1. Be safe & peaceful, follow the rules and orders from police.
2. DO NOT post about being there on social media. If we get loud enough, I can see this DOJ/FBI calling them terrorist or insurrectionist acts. Don't give them ammo to find you. Apps like SIGNAL are safer.

And this is what it looks like when government actually cares about the people THEY REPRESENT. Amazing how many politicians seem to not understand the terms of their employment.
Every family and child deserves to feel safe and secure in the place they call home.

Every resident of Illinois should know their rights.

I intend to protect those rights and ensure our state laws are followed.
