Impressive technique with the full use of four legs while kneading rather than just the front two. When my Fezzik tried that this morning he fell over.

This is Jessie, being very fierce.

Post something random or … you know, don’t. I’m not gonna hex you for that.

Most of my roses are focused on recovery this year after last year’s drought and then an unusually cold winter. Ebb Tide (the one stick wonder) managed to put out one gorgeous bloom anyway.

The only drawback is they don’t tend to be small critter safe and I have cats. There are a lot of lurchers in my part of the US so I’m waiting for the local rescue to have the ‘unicorn’ cat-safe hound.
My last lurches was great.

My tiny corner shade garden is the best looking spot in the garden right now. Moss covered rocks give the illusion of a cool glen.

Oxalis, nobody told this one that he’s not hardy in this zone so he’s come back several years in a row.

Easter Basket rose, it’s too hot to show any of her normal pink blush. She’s too tough to stop blooming for mere neglect and heat.

Buff Beauty rose. She spent two years threatening to die and two years limping along only to explode this year into the best looking and best smelling rose in the garden.

Red hydrangea that has mysteriously avoided deer

Black ice rose

Too hot to be gardening, so it looks ratty, but a carefully angled camera helps. I’m going to enjoy the blooms even if I have to be hiding inside to do it. 🌱

I was just about to go to bed and Trump announces we have achieved peace by dropping bombs in the Middle East. I have no cope left right now, so please enjoy a picture of this cat.

My husband uses “schmoopy” as both a nickname and descriptor for one of our cats - including a wide range of nonstandard verbing and nouning.

“Full of Schmoop”, “rocking the schmoop groove”, “Schmoopolotipus”, etc.

I’d like to sit here, relaxing, waiting for the painkillers to kick in so I can squeeze a little more gardening in before it rains again.

Unfortunately, both dogs desperately need to be outside. Also inside. No, wait, outside for sure. But then again…

Very chill cat for inspiration.

We have had two 17 year olds. Ripley (GP Coons Landing Ripley Lovelace) was a purebred Maine Coon show cat, and Jake was a short haired black kitten pulled out of a wall where he mysteriously got stuck.

This young man just brought me a large piece of plastic that looks like it broke off something important. He then settled in my lap and is staring off into the distance.

I have concerns.
