This actually does open up a pretty interesting conversation about how stuff like Project 06 being more accessible then the OG game has only further deepened the revisionism that 06 was some "secret kino" when it's in reality a bad game that's damage to the IP lasted for two decades.
i cant wait for people who exclusively played project 06 to play it via the recomp for the first time ever and realize "wait, sonic 06 might not be that good actually..."
the sonic 06 recomp apparently shadowdropped. i have never played the game and was not intending on it because i just don't think it looks fun but it's been calling to me like this.
