Just an idea: if you don't like what dems are doing in your area, Go volunteer at your local Democrat's office and help them because they do need help in local areas, and I guarantee they would be happy to see you, and your opinions are going to be heard as well.

Lost my job over it... Look at planned Parenthood having to closed clinics that are non abortion clinics in rural areas because of withholding funds. Iowa is a perfect example of this happening.

Trump is calling for a "new" census that excludes people in the U.S. without legal status. The 14th Amendment requires the "whole number of persons in each state" in a key set of census results.
