Haha.
Sometimes it takes a bit of extra brew to get out the door. 😂

I ran 26s on my non-e cargo bike for years. Hell of a workout! 😂
But the tires themselves are so tough I completely destroyed one this past week (my fault 100%, not marathon) and still rode 6km on it thinking my bike just needed a tune up. 🫠

I got 6 years out of a pair of studded winter tires for my cargo bike- carrying myself and a kid that went from 50lbs to 65lbs. They are still fine, I'd expect I could get a few more years out of them but I just don't run the cargo bike in winter anymore because I don't kid-cart anymore...sadly.

When I say take responsibility I mean the business side. I'm not trying to shove it to science. Funny you mention Oppenheimer because I was thinking about that on my run.
But there are people who run/own those businesses.
I guess we get to a moment of morals and ethics then...?

*can
😂
Autocorrect totally derails me here with a "you know why you just don't LIKE why" moment.

I get the not knowing at first part, but the continuing to do it once you know is...not something I can't understand. Along with the denial and not wanting to take responsibility etcetc.

I think the most harrowing part of reading about this is that when legislation bans something they make new things they become even harder to filter/combat. And I just don't know how to wrap my brain around things where people knowingly create things that are so harmful. Naive of me I guess.

Highly recommend @mariahblake.bsky.social's book They Poisoned the World, all about forever chemicals and ongoing fights....

That sounds... unfortunate.

I have thought about doing a trainer wheel to save the twice yearly crying. 😂

@613bike.bsky.social puts my trainer tire on as part of my xmas gift. 😂

Oof.

I have heard of this but still haven't bought one.
Perhaps an idea for @613bike.bsky.social and my xmas stocking. 😄
(Really a gift for himself if it keeps me from yelling "HELP!")

Skating to work in the cold = whimsical and has support.
Biking to work in the cold = no one does that!
🫠
(Hilarious also because in Ottawa it's Very Ottawa to skate the frozen canal to get to work. But ride your bike?! That's wild!).
