Emergency ⚠️ train stop. Passenger had a stroke just after Stirling. Train stopped at Falkirk. NHS paramedics arrived in 10 mins & was taken to 🚑. What a shame - happened further up coach I was in. We do see people of all ages return to cycling (triking) after such events. @edinreporter.bsky.social

Heading north to Blairgowrie on Ember E11 e-bus (Aberdeen via Braemar route). Driver said Glenshee very snowy earlier. Lower down it's still raining. Been days and days now. 🌧🌧🌧 A923 now open but River Isla spilling out everywhere.

Got to shop late but safely. Some details to finish on this new Nihola Bafang trike for customer in Newcastle. Built in 🇩🇰 and shipped direct despite Brexit. He was inspired by a yellow demo one we sold last year. Similar but not identical.

We're on our way to shop. Every bus late or diverted but grateful to drivers surfing the routes. 🌊 Group of passengers in village shop exchanging the stories. At Glenshee Ski Centre there's snow. Non stop rain lower down. Ember e-bus 25 mins late. In shop by 14.30. @transform.scot

Day 2 of local flooding. School closed. Local 71 bus couldn't make it past Ballintuim. Ember e-bus did get over into Glenshee but then hit the real barrier which is the River Isla cutting off Blairgowrie and Alyth from South. Now heading east to Dundee via Kirriemuir @transform.scot @srd.bsky.social

A924 this morning. Further north the morning 71 school bus got stuck at Bridge of Cally. Rescued by parents / school closed. Basically snow and ice in the southern Cairngorms is draining down to the sea! Shee water & Alt Fearnach/Ardle go into the Ericht in Blairgowrie ➡️ into the Isla and Tay.

Graphs from www.carbonintensity.org.uk are always interesting. Octopus suggest zonal pricing could be worth exploring as north has a surplus of wind power most days coupled with high electric costs. About to be increased too when the massive Berwick Bank wind farm comes on stream.

We found this the case with Whitehouse Loan yesterday also, which resulted in a hard fall turning right into Blackford Rd. Five minutes later we witnessed another kid fall at the turning off of Newbattle Terrace onto Whitehouse Loan.

Quiet routes need gritted, @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social
