Funny to be asked about Glacier Bay’s Uchida license…by a member of the JP government.
I cant say I know how GB did it, but I never questioned it given how they work. This person’s response was utter confusion tho.

unfortunately not that many tls I would trust to make judgement calls on works being good or bad. It's a shame cause we are often reading through many of them even if the majority is just what's commercially viable. I feel like many don't even care that much about the medium and more fandoms

sometimes, i read these tl scripts and get really disappointed by the lack of discipline they show. even if it's for smth shitty, you should still give it a few drafts. it's sad to see word after word being left out because you went too fast. just gives me a bad impression of skill level

sometimes run into typesetters that will split words at their apostrophes (eg they're -> they' // re or they // 're) it looks so strange. i don't get why someone would like intuitively think it is something that should be done.

another day another artist sending in another out-of-date jpg version. i should maybe just always make new jpg versions for qc. feels like there's almost no point relying on the author to send up-to-date ones

lot of tls just not very exp in mechanics of comix... not understanding how to pick up on clues 4 which chara is saying what or misreading visual metaphors. v important to approach tling comix from both creator and readers pov when considering lines and not tunnel on txt. elements r not in isolation
