How many people will die because of the rank stupidity, arrogance and folly of these three men?

RFK Jr. the “Health Secretary” has now fired the entire CDC vaccine advisory panel. It’s clear this anti-vaccine conspiracy politics under Trump and his appointees has no shame. People will die.

We are in the midst of the “hijacking of public health decision-making by unqualified ideologues”
"Critical decisions are now being made by those least qualified to make them. This will have profound effects on all of us, measured in sickness and death." @gregggonsalves.bsky.social captures the very scary transformation of public health decision- & policy-making in the US. #IllnessPolitics
The new COVID vaccination recommendations are being made by a small coterie of people least qualified to make them, while cutting out the experts to push their own views forward, regardless of what the science says. My latest for The Nation. www.thenation.com/article/soci...

43% of social welfare recipients are White. 11 of the top 12 most dependent states are red states.

Alaska is the most dependent on federal aid while California (49) and New Jersey (50) are least dependent, contributing far more than they receive.

Musk claims to be a champion for white people, but 40% of Medicaid recipients nationally are white; in states like KY, WV, and MO, whites are 74%, 65%, and 86% of Medicaid recipients, respectively.

The only group Musk champions is rich people. Everybody else can die.

People you love will die as health care costs rise and your government pulls back. Ignorance will grow deeper and wider. Farms will fail and families with children will go hungry. Bridges will collapse.
The rich will live well off the back of your labor.
This is the Republican vision.

Really comprehensive and brutal description of what’s going on at US science agencies by @dereklowe.bsky.social. Read to the end: because this doesn’t need to continue, the rest is not inevitable. We can fight back.
I’ve unfortunately needed to add more material to my post from yesterday. The re-election of Donald Trump is looking like the biggest act of American self-destruction since the Civil War.

Same link, new title and some updates.
