TBH, I’ve lost the pride in both.
I guess knowing that 70+ million of your neighbors, family members and other fellow citizens were somehow able to justify voting they way they did, makes me that way.
I pray someday that pride returns.

What makes it an identity rather than an ideology is that it is largely immune to events or evidence. It doesn't matter what happens in the real world, what Dems actually do, how the context changes, how bad Rs are, anything. You have your catechism & you repeat it. That's your team. Your identity.
