Holy shit Speed was such a great movie.
I am also shocked by how consistently movies shot in film can upscale so well in 4k that their age only shows in the artistic directions of the time not in the quality of the footage.

One thing I've noticed over the years that has really increased lately is a breakdown in media criticism. People will declare that a book/show/video game is BAD, with all sorts of supporting reasons that don't actually make any sense.
Because what they REALLY mean is that they just didn't like it.

I think the "audiobooks are reading" argument is curious bc they literally are not. You are listening to someone else reading the book. I'm pro-audiobooks, they can make books more accessible (tho they don't work for everyone) & they can enhance certain genres (like horror) but you don't READ them.
