Initial reports are 4 journalists injured (several bleeding), 3 cameras broken, 5 put in zip ties.
All in defiance of state law, a judge's order, and chief's signed order.

Today's dispatch from Romantasyland is wow I do not *get* One Dark Window. Usually I can at least see what's appealing about a book that isn't for me but it is genuinely baffling to me why this book is so popular! (A problem of my imagination, to be clear, not a knock on people who liked it!)

It was meet and right to give [YouTuber] flak for calling nerd girls an "underutilized resource" but the underlying point of "bro why are you always talking yourself into crushing on girls you would not even enjoy hanging out with" was always a good one and it's wild that it's still this relevant.
There is nothing that gets my red flag meter going quite like men saying things like "it was hard meeting women because I was interested in (insert nerdy thing here)" when I have distinct memories of certain kinds of men in nerdy thing specifically and repeatedly excluding me from nerdy thing.

Just had an encounter with a grade A asshole driver that had me yelling at my closed windows "I WOULD NOT LIKE TO MEET YOU!" and I don't think I could have come up with that outside the heat of the moment but I am now confident it's the most scathing insult I personally could give anyone.
