I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now.

I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system.

It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.

Let’s talk about ICE. This post is long, but it’s worth reading to understand how to protect your right to privacy.

It might sound extreme, but everyday Americans may soon want to consider face coverings for reasons far beyond health or fashion.

“The images we’ve now all seen of the East Wing being demolished are heartbreaking,” Patti Davis writes. “Over the centuries, many presidents have altered the White House, and certainly older buildings need to be updated and repaired. But this is complete destruction.”
Opinion | I Resented the White House Bitterly. Now I Mourn It.
The East Wing was where Eleanor Roosevelt walked. It was where Jacqueline Kennedy planned the Rose Garden. Now it’s all but gone.

Here’s a story that’s becoming all too common: federal immigration agents using racial and ethnic profiling as a rationale for stopping, questioning and detaining U.S. citizens who they suspect are undocumented.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.

The system is broken.

Please read. Thoughts:
(1) some of this precedes Trump and is bigger than Trump.A story about how we allowed our rights to be eroded post 9/11
(2)Trump takes that pre-existing condition and pours gasoline on it
(3) a gov’t that treats its own citizens as the enemy is not fit to govern in a democracy

One of these photos are the camp bunks of Trump’s Alligator Alcatraz. Meant to hold ICE detainees. The other is LITERALLY the bunks of Auschwitz-Birkenau nearly a century later, that held deportees. Yes, if you support Trump and these camps, you are on the wrong side of history. You are complicit.

So what is the goal of the new Administration.. Tarriffs hurt the USA economy and other nations are gleefully creating new trade agreements without the USA. The Administration wants to keep the tax or deepen tax cuts and cut programs.. IMHO it is to get a few more rich richer and destroy our nation
