As a pro rewilding person and a Vermonter I’d love to see this happen but our FWS is basically a bunch of pro hunters and trappers who see VT’s wilderness as their personal hunting ground. Year round open season on coyote, hunting bear with dogs. Just awful.

Sounds like a good plan, except for the “frenzy of mating” part.
Lemurs’ vaginas have no permanent opening. For 24 to 72 hours in July of a good year, their vagina will open, there’s a brief frenzy of mating and then they close up again.
