Our first Scottish Summit kicks off today! We’ll be hearing from NFFN farmers like John Seeds, who reminds us that farming with nature has been practiced for thousands of years. We look forward to discussing these timeless practices with you at the summit! 🙌

European Pine Marten (Martes martes): This mammal has retractable claws which enable it to climb trees & run along tree branches in the arboreal habitats of Northern Europe. Cracking photo taken by Danny Green in Scotland. #PineMarten #marten #mammal #forest #nature #wildlife #scotland #MartesMartes

Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes): There are estimated to be 170,000 wild Chimpanzees, most are threatened by habitat loss, disease and poaching in their native western Africa. They are listed as Endangered and can grow to 170cm (5.6ft). Brilliant photo taken by Thomas Margansen. #chimpanzee #janegoodall

So much more we need to do to reverse the decline in swift numbers in Wales. Future generations must not be deprived of their iconic cries on a summer evening

Posting these in memory of Jane Goodall, because like her, they remind me to keep joy and hope alive.

"If we lose hope, we're doomed."

We must continue Dr. Jane Goodall's mission and all fight for the future of the planet.

This is sad news indeed. We have lost a wonderful human being and an inspiration to environmentalists everywhere.

Jane Goodall was not only a pioneering primatologist, she also campaigned more relentlessly and selflessly for the natural world than anyone I know.

A great soul if ever there was one

Sky News and the BBC repeatedly mention the "migrant crisis" in doing so they are normalising and legitimising far right talking points. There is no "migrant crisis", there is only migrant hysteria, which the British media is feeding into instead of countering.

We want it.
Let’s demand it.
200 nations agreed in 2022 to set aside 30% of world’s land & 30% of marine areas for nature. But just 17.6% of world’s land & 8.6% of the seas are now under global protection, & >100 nations are less than halfway to meeting the target.

Ruth Ashton-Shaw runs a small organic farm in Scotland, focusing on soil health & working with nature.

Her farm is one example of the solutions we’ll explore at our sold-out Scottish Summit this October.

New discovery could turn any window into a solar panel

Breakthrough centres around something called a diffractive-type solar concentrator, which guides sunlight to the edge of the window in order to harvest it into electricity.

Trump is in today’s State Visit press conference saying wind power is "a disaster, a very expensive joke"

Presumably he didn’t realise every other light 💡 and microphone 🎤 in that press conference was being powered by wind
