that's exactly my big concern about tech, how it's becoming so user-hostile and how easy it is to get swamped in shit if you're not somewhat literate, but also how it's pretty much required for everything. hell, if you don't have a smartphone you're pretty much a second class citizen

The cargo tie down loops are working overtime for stuff like this. I've seen that lots of rugged 'do everything' cars only have plastic D-rings for cargo, and that's useless! Give me a metal ring bolted right to the frame so I can test the limits of my ratchet straps, Thank you very much.
