It's tradition at the club to pinch a mistletoe sprig between one's toes for scurrying subs to kiss them. Valeska did her part, from one set to another, until she reached a cat's. "Salem! Happy h— erk!"

She didn't make it to the rest of them, but if she was good this year, she'd make it to morning.
