The lonely Magellan of disreputable exploitation cinema. Death merchant and amateur onion peeler. I like things that look like mistakes. He/him.

Please tell me if Oozing Wound's "Hypnic Jerk" made it in.

Would just like to reiterate that "send in Van Halen" is one of the most quietly pointed moments in ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER

The very first riot after a George Floyd protest was started by a white supremacist nicknamed "Umbrella Man."

He spraypainted "free shit" on an AutoZone, broke the windows, and encouraged others to come in. abcnews.go.com/amp/US/man-h...
Man who helped ignite George Floyd riots identified as white supremacist: Police
A masked umbrella-wielding man helped incite riots and looting in the immediate aftermath of George Floyd's death, police said.

It's definitely a schwa, the emphasis should be on the first O (but everyone out here wants to put it on the second, like oh-re-GONE)

I was born in Oregon. Oregon famously has a terrific wine region in the Willamette Valley. I work on the East Coast in booze, have for 20+ years, and I don't need to take off my socks to count the number of times I've heard customers correctly pronounce "Oregon" and/or "Willamette."

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

I wish it was a film I liked, but it's tough to plan this stuff.

Watched PROJECT: METALBEAST this morning, and updating my master list informs me that it was my 8000th unique full-length feature. Someone should throw a party.

Just watched it myself a couple nights ago. Had the wild idea that a double feature of that and AGUIRRE, THE WRATH OF GOD could be productive.

The fifth entry for my #superscarymovies journey (prompt: "a '90s horror film made for TV) was initially gonna be FULL ECLIPSE. But Scarecrow's copy was checked out. (Boo!) So I picked STRAYS, which definitely feels like something made by The USA Network.

For #superscarymovies Entry #4 (which demands "a horror film that features virtual reality"), I figured it was a good opportunity to knock another film off my Albert Pyun watchlist. So... hey there, ARCADE.

#superscarymovies Entry #3 asked for "a horror film that can be found on a 50-DVD movie collection." I've got a lot of those. Ended up choosing DEATH FROM BEYOND, which is in the Pendulum TOMB OF TERRORS box. That was a good call in my opinion.

Yankees fans eyes rolling completely back and turning black, heads tilting backwards at an impossible angle, and their jaws opening and opening horribly like a shark's as they all emit the PC Richard Whistle Sound as one.

It's very good! It's also very much not about what the trailers are selling - it's a lot smaller and sadder.
