Over the past two decades, indie TTRPGs have evolved from "writing sad things on index cards" to "sad things come pre-printed on really nice card stock"

I apologize in advance for the emotional havoc I intend to reap with this game. Thank you for a beautiful system, @moreblueberries.bsky.social!

Also I am very proud of having read basically all of the moves the first time through, though it took me a second to figure out the safe spots for the expanding rings.

That said, on my fourth time through on a different job, after midnight, I was out of it enough that I died. Twice. 😔

Arkveld FFXIV fight is fun. Haven't tried extreme yet, but normal is very farmable and I am REALLY looking forward to getting all of the MH kit (the outfits are A+).

Unfortunately, this means I am going to have to compile shaders again and fight Omega in MH too, because I love that stupid thing.

In our family, "disco nap" specifically means downing an entire cup of coffee and then taking ten or fifteen, so you wake up just as the caffeine is hitting.

But this is also cool.

Highland cattle are famous for their ability to "disco nap". Normally these brief, efficient sleeps will last between three and twenty minutes, deploying a variety of objects as pillows, including moorland boulders, cars or any particularly large dog or sheep who happens to be nearby.
A highland cow having a little nap on a boulder on Dartmoor (ok, it was actually scratching its head)

I just can't imagine doing it with no upgrades 😮

But yeah, if you're a pro you're a pro, and skills totally transfer within genres; I've definitely experienced that myself.

Though to be fair in this case it's setting aside sufficient time to kick Arkveld's ass like 26 times.

6th run? Impressive!

I played for 20 hours and got to Chronos like three times and while I consider myself a pretty good gamer, I'm beginning to think I was either very bad at this particular game or was missing something extremely important about how it worked 😬

Most underrated game in the series, and one of the most fun to explore

My small dog has successfully identified "stranger" by hitting a button three times today.

This is a good thing because the small dog is much less likely to bark since I have given her other tools to inform me about window doings.

One of the nice things about quitting 20 hours in is that I can just make up the way I thought it should have ended in my head, and nobody can tell me the story is any different

A someone who has written extensively about the eugenic roots that permeates those who claim to be building so-called artificial general intelligence, I'm here to tell you to please NOT compare criticism against corporations claiming to build a machine god, with eugenics. The audacity.
if you're writing a sentence that sounds like eugenics but you go "oh that's fine to say because it's not a real person" (whatever that means) you may want to consider what made you okay with saying that.

On listening to the video, apparently, it was the same theme song, but with English lyrics.

Catchy af!

Oh yeah, I totally had it as a kid in English (including what was probably a different English title theme).

I kept expecting a twist in Hades 2 that just never came.

Like, I've been being lied to, or maybe the Olympians are just as bad as Chronos, or whatever, and now I have to either let one side win (or find a third way if one exists)?

That would have been so much more interesting.

We do the same thing with a specific pattern of ruby glass.

Congrats on tracking down a couple more pieces!
