Libraries are all about sharing resources and getting the most out of every dollar while having to continually work hard for every dollar in funding
the quality and range of services public libraries provide relative to what they cost is nothing short of a miracle imo. But yeah, sure, “run government like a business.” 📚

Art class should never stop being a thing. Like if right after lunch we all got to go down to the basement for an hour, throw on a smock, and make collages out of old magazines while somebody's eccentric, slightly witchy aunt tells us how great we're doing, I feel like we'd all be in a better place.

I would never waste precious time on a book I don’t enjoy. You can always read the end if you have to know what happened and move on to something better
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

Proof your public library loves you: they leave you alone while you read, they don’t mind when you bring your kids over, and they’ll let you borrow any of their books, even the hardcovers
