Hello all,

I am looking to speak with students in the U.S. completing degrees in the environmental and/or marine sciences that are preparing to graduate this May or have recently graduated for an article. I’d like to hear how recent gov’t changes are impacting your job search.

Thanks!

If you are a data minded/experienced person, there are initiatives to archive vital data before it disappears. This is a very tangible way you can act against trump policies.

It’s come to my attention that much of the nation does not know what NOAA is, to put it basically the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Association is NASA for the ocean.

It’s research an policies effect our environment, industry and climate on such a scale that it is hard to put into limited words.
DOGE is reportedly threatening NOAA with massive staff and budget cuts.

NOAA houses the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center, which produce forecasts and warn people about storms.

This attack on public safety is ripped straight from the pages of Project 2025.

As I prepare to move myself over from any Meta platforms to alternative options, I am struck by how difficult it feels.
These apps have permeated our lives and social structures in unfathomable ways. I suppose this is why the tech oligarchs feel so secure on their pedestals.
