Leith finally has its first permanent outdoor skate area thanks to @wolct.bsky.social in partnership with The Edinburgh Wheels Project & Odyssey Skateparks.

ELGT are working with the Thriving greenspaces team to make improvements to 3 small parks in Leith. This includes Mill Lane, Junction Street and Dalmeny Street Parks. We are working with the The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society to run community planting days in November.

We're huge fans of Skelf! And always surprised by how many people haven't gone along for a shot - it's only a 30 min, almost traffic-free cycle from Leith Links 🚲

The new public toilets on the Links are open!

Open daily from 8am to 8pm, the toilet unit features:

🚾 3x family-accessible toilet cubicles
♿ 1x accessible toilet
🔄 1x Changing Places facility
💧 A water fountain

On the 2nd of June, the Thriving Greenspaces team released detailed designs for the skatepark, roller rink and pump track elements of the 'Leith Links Activity Hub' project.

Following on from the October 2023 consultation on proposals for the Leith Links Activity Hub, the Thriving Greenspaces team – in collaboration with Betongpark and AtkinsRéalis – have now released detailed designs for the skatepark, roller rink and pump track. 1/5

Starting Sunday 1 June at 9:30am, kids aged 4–14 can join a free, weekly 2km run. Register online for timed results, then just turn up.
36 kids joined the test run on 18 May—now it's weekly.
