Do you sometimes feel torn when making decisions, like whether to eat unhealthy food or recycle? This is called felt ambivalence: a psychological discomfort from having mixed feelings about something. Check out our new work to know how people resolve such conflicts: doi.org/10.1016/j.je... 🧠💥 1/10

Excited to announce that my paper with @lpummerer.bsky.social, @sonja-utz.de & @kaisassenberg.bsky.social on conspiracy beliefs is published. We examined the relationship between conspiracy beliefs and procedural justice during the peak and decay of the pandemic.
lenahahn.bsky.social
53% of preregistrations included all procedural specifications & 10% all transparency elements. The completeness of preregistration was unrelated to JIF and TOP Factor of the journal in which the preregistered study was published. We discuss how the completeness of preregistrations can be improved.
lenahahn.bsky.social
We used @zpid.bsky.social PSYNDEX database to sample preregistrations from articles published by psychologists from institutions in German-speaking countries in 2020. We coded 6 procedural specifications (e.g., planned sample size) & 6 transparency elements (e.g., sample size justification)

Fresh of the press! I'm incredibly proud of this new paper by Kiki Vu and myself where we show how much bias is introduced when people use workarounds to test interaction hypotheses meta-analytically. Check it out: advances.in/psychology/1...

Whom do we want to see in power? People high in both benevolence and integrity - that's what a new paper by Annika Scholl, H Rapp, Gerben van Kleef and myself shows. 4 Studies (N=1151) provide consistent evidence for this interaction effect. Delighted to see this work out doi.org/10.1037/xap0...
