Even the Internet - useful - did not show up in productivity data. How is a chat bot, pretty good at doing basic stuff, not so good at complicated stuff, going to increase productivity?

Not just Europe but Guardian and whole Corp media and rubbish bbc. Putin invades Ukraine = liberal bleating - rightly but willfully ignoring NATOs role in this. Israel turns it's settler colonial violence dial all the way up to genocide and said liberal media looks furiously away. Why I wonder?

This is why whole system is a ponzi scheme - even money itself when created by banks through loans etc. rate people charging impoverished people high rates and the rich much lower ones - a reinforcement mechanism of capital like insurance one below. #capitalismsucks

AI plus Musk = neocolonial extractivism
These turbines spew harmful air pollution (e.g. formaldehyde & nitrogen oxide) into one of the most overburdened communities in the US, which is already struggling with decades of environmental injustice. This isn’t innovation. It’s the same old pattern: private profit, public harm.

Yep and this is why, with other reasons, carbon capture and storage and hydrogen might, and I use might specifically here, lower carbon emissions but they certainly won't lower energy prices.
It's gas that is making UK electricity expensive.

Yep all the fossil ghouls have to get to COP to make sure nobody gets in the way of ecocide. Then go play golf or do what rich dudes do.
This is a bad look, but it's only an 8-mile-long road right near the city. In the grand scheme of Amazon deforestation, this is peanuts. What concerns me more is that the massive investments in modernizing Belém will do little for the city's 2 million people.

Government says civil servants not 'match fit' for what country needs now, so will be paid on performance and encouraged to leave job if under performing. Is this going to apply to either Starmer or Reeves both of whom it would be polite to describe as underperforming? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Knowing who and what BP is - an evil empire built on colonisation and dispossession - like Shell - would lead anyone who cares about justice and the web of life, to oppose these ecocidal entities however they can.
The Stone Age didn’t end because we ran out of stone.

Society has changed before at the scale we need it to today: but that change was never catalyzed by presidents, PMs, or CEOs of the richest companies of the time.

The fossil fuel age won’t end until we ordinary people demand it does.
BP shifts course, boosting fossil fuel investments and cutting renewables
BP said on Wednesday it would increase annual oil and gas investment to $10 billion, returning the focus to fossil fuels, as part of CEO Murray Auchincloss' efforts to boost returns and improve financial performance.

The even worse thing about this is the conditions for the war of independence - how the evil empire emerges - were created on the coasts by slaves, indigenous people and sailors who were most impacted by Britain's taxes. Slave owning elites like Jefferson use this rebellion set up the USA.
Imagine this: you are literally one of the only people who can claim to 'really belong' to the land we call 'America' and a settler colonial force asks you to produce proof of citizenship. This epitomises US politics of belonging today.

Yeah I mean, water, energy, train privatisation all went swimmingly, for the 1% who benefited from under priced assets and land attached to said assets that they then sold off. The rest of us have become the rentier's farm animals to milk.
